To say that we know what it means to miss New Orleans is an understatement. Bob & Tess are now home in New Orleans and couldn't be happier to be back to their eclectic neighborhood, the bursting magnolias, the mouth-watering aromas of crawfish boils lingering in the air and of course, the Framily.
If things were "normal" right now, New Orleans would have just had its 51st annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival aka "Jazz Fest." This is the time of year where people come from all over the world to join the people of New Orleans in honoring music off all kinds from jazz to gospel, zydeco and more featuring world-famous headliners, to eat the most incredible food you'll have from a food stand and dance in the mud and sun of the deep South. It's a tradition we hold very near and dear to us and has been etched in the hearts of New Orleanians.
Much like many large events around the world this year, Jazz Fest has been cancelled. But did that stop the people of New Orleans from partying like it's Jazz Fest anyway? Heck no!
Bob & Tess created their own Jazz Fest experience with a small gathering of Framily at their house and a private concert with the legendary Glen David Andrews Band. See a little bit of his performance at Bob & Tess's house HERE.
The rest of New Orleans practiced "Festing in Place" with the help of local radio station WWOZ, which presented a stream of the greatest performances In Jazz Fest history, complete with a full-length Jazz Fest Schedule for both weekends to be listened to and cherished from home.
Music is part of the very DNA that makes up New Orl, it resonates throughout the streets of our city and we're proud to be home to so many talented, legendary, irreplaceable artists, and no pandemic can ever take that away from us. Bands like the Glen David Andrews Bands and so many others who are used to their day-to-day gigs, have found a way to keep bringing music to the people whether it's been playing on their front porches for the surrounding streets to hear, broadcasting live concerts on social media or making special house calls for the true die-hards like Bob & Tess.

New Orleans is a city that has been through many storms and we come back better and stronger each time because we hold on to our culture and don't require much more than some good music, good food and good company to keep the good times rollin'!
