Temptation Cruise 2022 Recap

Where do I start?

I’m still tired from the Temptation Cruise because these guys know how to party all night long. When other charters are shut down and everyone is asleep in their bed, Temptation Cruise is still rocking with late-night parties, lots of sexy people, and great costumes.

The People

The first thing I noticed about Temptation Cruises is the people. These charters always have younger and sexier people than any other charters I have been on. I have never seen so many sexy booties in my life. I think they need to change the name of the cruise from Temptations to “the BOOTY Cruise”.

On most charters, the average age is around 48-50 years old, but this cruise probably averages closer to 38-40 years old. I’d say the average age is just between what Groove cruise gets (29-30-year-olds) and most “lifestyle cruises”.

Even though this was a hotter and younger crowd than I have seen at most resorts or cruises, I couldn’t have found a friendlier bunch of people. I was invited to hang out with people on the pool deck while getting fancy drinks at the martini bar and I had so many dinner requests, I could only handle a handful.

It’s great to see these adults-only cruises getting younger, but keeping with the friendly atmosphere I love on full ship charters.

The Music

First of all, I simply LOVE Tatiana (I had to get that off my chest). She is one of my fav DJs, especially on 80’s night when she was playing so many great old 80’ dance hits (everyone was singing along all night), but she dropped some sick beats down on those dance hits to make them even better. She made them her own and she brought the 80s into the 2020s with some great mixes.

I really enjoyed all of the DJs because they didn’t just play EDM, they played versions of Yacht Rock during the day, before building up to the high energy of the daily pool parties and of course the nightly Theme Parties.

I heard old skool Hip Hop, funky Disco, Nu Disco, club hits, some sexy House Music, and even Cotton Eyed Joe (I didn’t see that one coming).

Music is one of the hardest things to get right, but this year Temptation stepped it up by bringing on board Jen Porter (my favorite Naughty piano player) as well as some good bands that played in the Atrium (near the Martini Bar) on the last two nights.

I hope Temptation saw the energy created by these other musicians and by having a variety of music, more people were happy about the music than on the last cruise. I’m sure there will be a lot more programming in the future for live music on board, which will make the music options the best of the current adult cruises.

I also liked hearing Taylor Tyme & DJ Smooth. A couple of cats making names for themselves with their annual parties down at Hedonism in Jamaica. They brought a swagger to the DJ Booth and I felt the energy.

Theme Nights

I love theme nights (you will see this in the photos) and the Temptation Cruise did not disappoint. From the standard themes like Glow Night and Lingerie night to the original (and my personal favorite) A Mid Summer’s Night Dream, people were creative, sexy, and really went all out.

The weather wasn’t great for a couple of nights, but luckily for us, there was a great indoor venue that allowed everyone to keep the party going and to show off their elaborate costumes and outfits.

 The Ship

The Celebrity Summit is one of the classier ships out there. They have been through a couple of recent dry docks to make the ship very modern and fresh. I really liked the lounges and the restaurants. The martini bar was my personal favorite place to hang out.

The cabins were very well appointed, the outlets now have two USB ports added which is a big help these days. Plenty of storage and better than usual showers.

I spent a lot of time out on my balcony and the chairs were better than most balcony chairs. Celebrity is trying to position itself as a nicer more sophisticated brand than Royal Caribbean (and WAY above Carnival) and this ship is a good example.

Red Room

The “Red Room” is what Temptation calls it’s the playroom. Our Naughty Events team put together the Red Room and it turned out beautifully. We love putting together the best playrooms at sea, and this cruise did not disappoint.

Now that the Grand Miches Temptation Resort will have playrooms, they are making sure that their Temptation Cruises have them too.

We put a lot of time and effort into these rooms to ensure that they smell great, look great, and sound great. If you didn’t check out the Red Room, make sure you visit this room next time. There is a lot of “magic” going on in there.

Topless & Naked

On the last Temptation Cruise, my number one complaint (I mean constructive criticism) was that there was not a clothing-optional area where us nudist naked folks could get naked. This cruise was different, as they added a clothing-optional area in the Solarium and I loved it.

I spent several days at or in the hot tub (more on that later) because it was a great place to relax during the day, get away from the music and meet people in a place without loud music. I hung out here every day.

My only complaint (aka constructive criticism) is that the Jacuzzis were WAY too hot the 1st couple of days. In fact, someone passed out the first day. Once I found out who to talk to, they did get the hot tub temps changed to a better temperature so I could actually get down into the tub.

I am so glad that Temptation Cruises are going to have clothing-optional spaces and that their new Temptation Grand Miches Resort in the Dominican Republic will also feature clothing-optional areas. Thanks, Temptation!

Ship’s Staff

This was THE friendliest crew I have ever seen on a cruise. I loved the “washy washy” guys on the Norwegian ships, but the staff on the Summit were so friendly, everyone spoke English (an issue on MSC) and the food and service were first class.

I met with the ship’s officers every day to discuss how everything was going and they loved the charter and it showed. They were very quick to help us in the Red Room and make the experience a memorable one.

The guys in the Martini bar were especially friendly, talented, and charismatic. I hope you guys tipped as I did. They deserved lots of love…

Ports

We do not go on adults-only cruises for the ports, but since we went to two ports, let’s touch on them:

Labadee: I have been to Labadee six times and it is exactly what it tries to be a very simple place with white sandy beaches, lots of coconut trees, some very nice private cabanas, and peace and quiet.

I’d love to see a beach party in the future, but a day of quiet and rest was needed for this guy. I had a lovely couple of hours off the ship.

Nassau: I didn’t get off the ship because I was working, but I heard good things from people that did venture out and a couple of mediocre reviews.

My friends who went to the fort and then a local beach had a nice time. Nothing amazing, but how can you complain when you are on a tropical island in the Caribbean, surrounded by crystal clear blue waters?

I heard the food at the island party wasn’t great, but people still enjoyed the experience. They are probably comparing the food that they are getting on the ship, which is hard to beat, especially when compared to an island takeover that is centered around the party, not the food.

Both ports were great options to get off the ship and walk around a beautiful Caribbean destination. Both had great beaches, rum, and sunshine. And while I didn’t get off the boat in Nassau, there were plenty of happy people on the boat.

Price

The Temptation Cruise is by far the best value for your money in our opinion. Not only are their prices lower than any other charter, but they throw in a liquor package too. No one else does that. It speaks volumes about how they really do hope to please you.

Book soon and take advantage of early bird pricing for 2023. The prices will only go up from here.

Summary

The Temptation Cruise is a great place to go for younger and nicer-looking people. It is one of the best deals when looking for an adults-only, clothing-optional, topless, or lifestyle vacation. I can’t wait to go next year…

See you in Miami in 2023!
