Greetings from Naughty Beach

This time of year is one of my favorites; I remember this time last week when I was wearing sweatpants under my coveralls and sporting a full-on head wrap to keep my head and face warm from the cold and wind. Everything looked brown and dreary I was just miserable but in the back of my freezing head, I was telling myself…..You are about to be in a different world with beautiful sunny beaches, fancy cocktails, great food, and lots of beautiful colors all around.

Naughty Beach is my sanctuary, it’s the only trip that even though I’m working I enjoy my surroundings the most. It is different from those touristy resorts, and that’s what I love. The freeness, slow pace, and friendly people in this small town are something I look forward to every year. This morning at breakfast up the road I was looking down and heard my name I looked up it was a familiar face from an employee from the hotel I stayed at last year and he remembered my name and came over to say hello. What a way to start my already amazing morning. The friends I’ve made here are forever my friends even if I haven’t seen them in a year, they see so many people come and go and they remember you.

I am only here for 2 more days, so I’m soaking up all the sun, culture, and memories as I can before I head back to “The Frozen Tundra” with the brown, dreary, overcast scenery. The cold will take over me again, but my heart will still be warm.
