The Naughty Meter
Our goal has always been to help people find what they are looking for when it comes to Naughty Cruises, Resorts, and Events. We try to do a good job of describing how naughty you can expect each event to be, but some still have a hard time choosing the right option for their level of comfort. So, we decided to add another visual reference to help guide you by having a “Naughty Meter” to help you see, at a glance, how naughty a place, cruise, or event is on our Naughty-ness meter.
While the level of naughty may be higher as the meter goes up, you can rest assured that you will control the level by your choice of activities. Even at the wildest parties, you do not have to go to the playrooms; many don’t. You can also avoid the clothing-optional areas at many events and cruises; there will always be plenty of places you can go to enjoy the erotic nature of the event or resort without having to jump in with both feet. This is just a guide to help you understand which places allow different levels of nudity and sexual exploration.
We will add a Naughty Meter to each page of our website to clearly define the different levels and help you make informed decisions. We are also going to put these graphics on many of our events at Naughty N’awlins and Naughty Halloween, so you can better decide which events you want to attend. For example, the Bourbon St Party at the Drinkery is Playful, bordering on Cheeky, because someone could flash someone on the balcony, but the Beach and Razzoo can be Spicy to Wild depending on the contest.
Playful
This is the lowest level on our Naughty Meter, since we do not promote “Mild” events or cruises. Playful events, cruises, or resorts are Adults-Only but do not have topless or clothing-optional areas or playrooms.
Groove Cruise is a good example, this is a really fun cruise, with great music (if you are into EDM) and you can dress sexy and know that there are hundreds of lifestyle couples on board, but they are there for the music, first and foremost, not to play.
Cheeky
The next level on our Naughty Meter is Cheeky, which was inspired by Virgin Cruises.
Virgin Cruises is Adults-Only, and it has a topless sundeck but no clothing-optional area or playroom.
Virgin Cruises are not a lifestyle cruise, by any stretch of the imagination, but they are an excellent option for group trips, offering a great adults-only option for those who love cruising as much as we do.
RisquÉ
The third level on our Naughty Meter is “Risqué,” and this is the first level where you can find a sexier vibe than the first two levels.
We would consider Temptation Resort to fit into this category, as it has a topless pool and a lot more sexual energy than you would find on a Groove Cruise or a Virgin Cruise.
There are no playrooms, so this category does not rise to the level of a Spicy level.
Spicy
We are finally up to a level where you will find clothing-optional areas and playrooms.
You will often hear people talk about “Spicy” travel or vacations because many prefer this term to “Swinger” on social media to avoid getting flagged or banned.
We consider Desire Resorts & Cruises, Temptation Cruises and Luxury Lifestyle Vacations (LLV). to fit into this category.
Kinky
This is a special category for people looking specifically for BDSM-type events, classes, and experiences.
There are Kinky weeks at Secrets Hideaway and Hedonism Resorts, and we have Kinky classes, workshops and an incredible Dungeon space at all of our Naughty Events.
Wild
This is our highest level of Naughty-ness and what our Naughty Events are all about. You can find clothing-optional areas and playrooms at these “Wild” events, resorts, and cruises, but you can choose your level of naughty-ness.
We also consider Hedonism, Secrets Resort, and Bliss Cruise to fall into this category.
Extreme
We decided to add an “Extreme” level to the mix when we realized that Mild to Wild wasn't enough. So what is considered more extreme than wild?
Some intense BDSM scenes and classes will be marked as extreme if they include intense actions that we feel need a warning.
Things like breathwork, edge play, knifework, and skin piercing are just a few examples that could be labeled as Extreme at our events.
There will also be some extreme events at some resorts from time to time, depending on the group. Many times, a group will do a “takeover,” and they will be allowed to do things you might not see at the resort on a typical weekend.
We will try to inform our clients when we think one of our events, classes, demonstrations, or entertainment rises to the level of extreme.
We don’t want anyone to be surprised, and we want to set clear expectations to help you make informed choices.
